Questions, answered.
The practical things people ask before they book. If yours isn't here, email us — we answer ourselves.
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 4 pm, check-out by 10 am. If you need an earlier arrival or later departure, ask before you book — it depends on the group leaving or arriving the same day.
How do we get the key?
The key is in a key box by the entrance. We send you the code before arrival, so you can check in at any hour after 4 pm without meeting anyone.
How many people can stay?
Up to 15 guests. The house has three bedrooms, and the tatami room and theatre living room also convert for sleeping. Tell us your group's make-up when booking and we will prepare the bedding.
Is the house rented whole, or by the room?
Whole only. One booking takes the entire villa — nobody else checks in, and the bath, kitchen and living rooms are yours alone.
Is there a minimum stay?
One night.
Is the bath a natural hot spring?
No. It is a heated open-air rock bath under a glass roof, private to your group and open 24 hours. The water is changed between every group.
How many bathrooms are there?
Two toilets and two showers in the house, plus the open-air bath. Larger groups shower in turns.
Is there parking?
Yes — one free space inside the building, about 210 cm wide, 500 cm deep and 220 cm high. Fold your mirrors. A second car needs a coin parking lot nearby.
Is there a lift?
No. The house is three storeys connected by stairs. The bath and parking are on the ground floor, the kitchen and one living room on the second, the bedrooms mostly on the third.
Can we cook?
Yes. Full kitchen with induction hobs, a coffee grinder and hand-drip, knives, pans, and a dining table for six with a baby high chair.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, free throughout the house.
Can you keep our luggage before check-in or after check-out?
On request — write to us with your times and we will tell you what is possible.
Is smoking allowed? Pets? Parties?
No smoking inside the house, no pets, and no parties or events — this is a residential street and neighbours live on both sides. Your own group having a good evening is, of course, what the house is for.
How do we book, and how do we pay?
Through our booking page (link below), which shows live availability and the final price. Payment is taken online at the time of booking.
How do we contact you?
Email [email protected]. We reply ourselves, in English or Japanese.
